Why do some letters look closer together or spaced differently in my embossed/firebranded text?

Our embossing/firebranding process involves using a brass letterset that’s pressed together inside a nearly 100-year-old machine. To brand the leather, we have to "squeeze" the letters as close together as possible.

However, letters with slants (like "A" and "V") require a bit more space on the brass letterset to prevent them from bleeding off the brass block. Because of how these letter sets are made, this slight spacing variation is unavoidable, and we cannot adjust it to achieve a different result.

This is the closest these characters can physically get in this scenario, and we appreciate your understanding of this unique aspect of our embossing process.
